The generous beam of 10'3" assures stability as well as providing room below and generously wide decks. The beam narrows at the waterline to lessen wetted surface while still offering initial stability.
The sail-plan shows a performance-oriented double spreader rig on a substantial mast with its upper section tapered for lighter weight aloft and better sail-shape. There are fore and aft lower shrouds to reduce mast pumping and eliminate the need for a baby-stay.
