Valeria
About
Motor yacht VALERIA was designed and built by De Vries Yachts and as 130 feet T.S. Steel Motor-yacht "LAC II" for an American client and was the first private yacht with an on-board private helicopter.
The current owner, being a visionary and talented engineer himself and a perfectionist began a total refit of the yacht after purchasing her in 2005. However, the refit turned into building a new modern motor yacht within the original classic Feadship lines.
The owner thought that the yacht would benefit from a modest transom extension (from 38 to 44,2 meters), and a full reconstruction of the flybridge and the sun deck. In addition the yacht has benefitted from the renewal of all main machinery and technical systems onboard, including new generators and main engines, complete rewiring and changing electric standard to the current protocols, new underwater exhaust system implementation, new air-conditioning systems, new Zero -Speed stabilisers etc. The yacht has been re-faired and fully repainted from bare metal & all teak decking is brand new.
The complete yacht interior renovation has been carefully crafted by famous UK designers: Design Unlimited UK, whilst Laurent Giles Naval Architects, De Vooght Naval Architects NL were retained to keep the exterior design harmonious with the original yacht. As would be expected of a rebuild of this caliber, new navigation, communication, entertainment and electronics appliances are thoughtfully integrated.
All works onboard are carried out according to designs and control of De Voogt Naval Architects, and are approved by Feadship and BV.
After the full rebuilt M/Y VALERIA will be MCA compliant and will be a brand new Feadship with classic lines, able to take on board 12 guests and 9 crew.
The vessel has been appointed a place in The Feadship Heritage Fleet upon completion.
